Hi,
Does anyone know what the time limit is before a client decides to use its
cached credentials (how long does it wait for a DC to respond).

.....and more importantly is this timeout configurable?

Alternatively, is there any way to get client machines to "try harder" to
find a DC? (like a "second knock" or something)

I have Vista and W7 client machines and a 2003, native AD.
